Let's see those things never meant for a bike on your bike!

Just wanted to see what type of things guys have put on their bikes that never belonged there. I have a few that I've made work.

My whiskey flask water bottle

My compass taillight

Image

Golf club shifters

Image

Scooter rack

Image

Belt buckle decoration

Image

mountain bike bar end seat post (I'm not the first I got the idea from here)

most of the bikes I build have items on them not made for bicycles.
Aluminum honeycomb composite
Image
wood veneer (to cover the honeycomb), lug wrench ( stand)
Image
license plates (mud flaps and box), hood ornaments ( on box and front fender), glass door knobs (hand grips), Pontiac "Star Chief" script ( the bikes name on chainguard), exercise bike seat, plastic drinking cups loaded with 8 red LEDs for tailights( between box and 57 chevy hood ornaments)
Image
solid rod bent seat post
Image
Old car cowl lights (head lights and taillights), old car tailights ( taillights), bullit shells( valvestem caps)
Image
cheap LED flash lights( headlights and taillights)
Image
beer cans ( headlights and taillights), beer tap handles ( handles grips), Mini beer keg ( tank), beer bottle labels ( instead of paint), LED flash ligths( inside beer can head and tail lights)
Image
Aluminum plate ( drop outs)
Image
airplane nose cone ( fairing) old aftermarket car taillight ( tailight)
Image
old glass gearshift knob ( on stem), pool ball ( #13 her favorite # on kickstand bolt)
Image

I have also put car steering wheel knob on the handle bars of the Rat Tandem and the Star Chief now has an automobile dash compass mounted to the stem so she doesn't get lost

Oh and then there is card board on bikes for special rides and parades

Image

did I mention working electric keyboard
Image
pedaling rudolf
Image
vw bus tandem

she did the pony herself

8) This could very well become one of the best threads on RRB.COM! 8)

Most of the custom stuff I have on my bikes wasn't meant for bikes.

Last month I bought a potato-masher, just because I thought it looked like a cool rack.
It's still a potatosmasher though...

(I'll see if I can fight this flu I got tonight, and come up with a compilation-pic of the stuff I've used tomorow.)

Gotta be my KFC bike... Trailer with BBQ and Cooler. the BBQ is made from a couple of old propane tanks, the cooler was found on Craigslist.

Image
even has a Hurst shifter for the firebox damper.

Image
The trailer is made from electrical conduit, and attaches to the bike by way of an old air fitting

Image
The tank on the bike was made from a scrapped Honda hood

Image
Headlamp is made from a Model A cowl light
