I made another thread with pics of the finished bike. I named it 'The Eastside Tomcat'. I grew up in the Eastside of the city of New Britain CT and this bike is basically the type of bikes we rode as kids. We would usually use Stingray frames though but with 10 speed seats and short apes or 'BMX' bars if we were lucky enough to have a pair. We rode the trails alot so we would usually prefer to run Bendix Rb hubs. I would swap out sprockets and chains for longer road rides. Where I live now is very hilly and she wont be doin' much trail riding so I went with a 3 speed. I hope you like it!

Well I recieved my tires, and of course the brain fart on my part, they fit schwinn rims only, no big I will just have to paint the schwinn rim, that I have, so I put it on for a trial run, the seat needs to go back some more, still not sure about the bars, and the biggest surprise the dana will not allow the coaster brake to work, as it has a free wheel. Options 1. no brake 2. I have a 24 inch drum wheel but again the tire wont work unless I lace the schwinn wheel to the drum, and the drum is set up for the rear....more modification, and then paint the sissy bar, seat clamp, rim, install windows, and buy some harware for the springer, and maybe fendersImageImage Right now the biggest problem is rain and no space in my shop, maxed out!!!Image

Great job! That Dana is slick and that paint is 'plum crazy'! Way to go!

Thanks for that , I really didn't finish like I would like too, but its a rider, and I did change the front tire to something a little older, the wing window I don't think it will survive, it just doesn't flow right ...but are they ever done????
