Look what I got for my chopper!Driving home I saw a pair of motorcycle tires in the garbage, I thought nothing until a block later I remembered someone on the schwinn site saying some fit on a stock occ rear wheel. So I went back and grabbed them. Sure enough they were the right size. The size is 90R16 if anyone wants to know. Took about a half hour of convincing but it fits great. Boy is it heavy though. Had to put the bike back as a single speed so the chain will clear...still needs some tweaking but man it looks awesome! I think I'm going to mount the fender up higher since it wont fit in the stock spot. I wish I had a crappy occ frame then I would cut the fender mount off and reweld it shorter but I dont want to ruin this paint.

Re: Look what I got for my chopper!
I saw that...its really cool!
Re: Look what I got for my chopper!Tire cleaned up REAL nice...looks brand new! Also polished up the paint as its been sitting for about a year and it was dirty.
I just need a longer brake cable and a way to hold it off of the tire, I'll probably use a zip tie around the seat tube temporarily. ![]()
Re: Look what I got for my chopper!love this bike and the idea of having gears
cheers RUST IN PEACE
Re: Look what I got for my chopper! To fix your brake cable, you may need to rig a pulley to keep it away from the tire. Try an old 3spd pulley.

Re: Look what I got for my chopper! Thanks for the comments!
I only wish there were another week or two of warm weather so I could go riding. Thanks for the pulley idea, that sounds like it would work.
