sometimes tapatalk pics work for me and sometimes they dont.
In addition to an internal gear hub I am running the cables internally to clean this bike up.

so here is the hole plugged.

And wouldn't you know it I scratched the paint :x

You gotta throw down a little electric tape on your frame before you drill on paint!

i am grinding away at the excess to get this cable to lay lower so it dosent rest on the axle spacer. even if it does the spacer dosent spin when its all snugged up, i hope.

How about put some white lithium grease on the cable housing so that if it does spin it won't chew it up.

I got a new long cone shaped dremel bit today and I worked on it more. I got the chain stay ground down all the way and I am working on the down tube more. That Cable just wants to rest on the axle spacer. I thought about welding a ring in there to keep it down, but i held it down with my finger and that causes the brake to drag.

Also i have to get new housing so it may be more flexable. So I think I will grind it down as much as I can and let the chips fall where they may.

Maybe make a little "spring" that will hold it down?

What if you welded a channel onto the spacer, like a cable guide, then the spacer wouldn't move for sure, and if it did it would just destroy the cable all at once and you'd immediately know if it was moving.

How about JB Weld a small nut on standing up on the bottom and then just use a tie wrap to pull it down.
