I stopped at a hobby store this afternoon looking for some decals and they had some checkerboard vinyl sticker stuff for radio controlled airplanes that looked like it would be perfect. Oh well, I done painted 'em already.

Thanks guys.

Hey Murray, are you the one who has the cool website about "Every Thing Murray"?

It is here for those who have never seen it:

http://murrayeliminatormusclebikes.yuku ... 6RZntVVJNI

There are a whole lot of cool pictures on that site--like this one:

Image

Look at that seat; look at that fork, look at the fat/skinny tire combo; look at the double reflectors on the fork. That is just too freaking cool.

Check these out:

I'm thinking of buying these to match the checkerboard I painted on the seat tube:

And then maybe make a checkerboard banana seat.

Hmmm...

Yeah, not just magenta either. It had to be flamboyant magenta.

Thanks. Also, I did order the grips; I got them from Porkchop BMX.

And for those who like pedal cars, cruising that Murray Eliminator site is fascinating. Just going through the old catalogs and looking at the pedal cars is too freaking cool.

I will be running :P the bike in class A/XC.*

A= Altered wheelbase
X= Experimental
C= Cycle

It was going to be class A/XB, B being for bicycle, but the letter B looked a little funny using that particular type, so I went with the C.

*I made all this stuff up. I don't really know what those letters mean in real drag racing or if there is a A/XC. But my bike is in it!

And the bike is made of steel!

The bike needs clear-coated yet, but I want to run some decals along the down tube to resemble the sponsorship decals on drag race vehicles. Once I get those decals, the clear-coat will go on.

I still have fenders to paint unless I decide to go with chrome fenders (hmmm, that makes the chrome sound better already). I planned to get the painting done by the end of May, but I had more time available this week than planned, so I rushed it in because the next couple of weeks will be busy with other things and I won't get to work on this much. So now things will get a bit slower...
