Felt Bicycle PicsRe: Felt Bicycle PicsToo cool! Tell/show us more! What kind of motor is that? Where is the tank? Did you do it yourself?
Re: Felt Bicycle PicsThe engine is a chinese HS 49cc 4 Stroke. The tank is hidden in the rear ammo bag. Yes, I did all the work myself, sans the relacing of the wheels to accept the proper sprocket & brake setup (learning how to relace for future builds).
Here's a rearviewshot of the hidden tank & battery. ![]()
Re: Felt Bicycle PicsSo you still have your three speed? I assume you're also able to use it while motoring?
Re: Felt Bicycle PicsNo the 3 speed can only be used when pedaling. Sick Bike Parts is developing a shift kit for my motor as we speak; when that happens I will upgrade to a 7 speed. Currently you can buy a shift kit for 2 stroke motors.
Re: Felt Bicycle Picshere is one I just picked up off CL last evening,

Re: Felt Bicycle PicsThat is just TOO CLEAN!
A couple of questions: 1. Are the ends of the top tube already 'sealed'? 2. How much gas does it hold? You bikes rock! Dr. T
Re: Felt Bicycle Pics
The top tube has open holes at both ends & there are also un-welded seams inside that connect with the down tube & the seat stays... It's a lot of work to properly seal it! It holds enough to go about 20 miles. Last edited by Venice Motor Bikes on Mon Sep 27, 2010 9:48 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Felt Bicycle PicsWOW! Knowing that, you've reached another 'level' in my humble book.
We will do business someday......someday. Cheers! Dr. T
Re: Felt Bicycle PicsThat is an amazing felt motor build...I love when the frame is used for the gas tank on these bikes giving it a real motorcyle look.
Just out of curiosity...did that Felt bike not come with QUICK BRICK letters on the rear tire like it shows on the Felt site? ![]() I like the drag look with the letters...but again, love the build. -Tony
Re: Felt Bicycle Pics
It has a factory Quick Brick rear tire, but the lettering is different than whats in the Felt web pic. For custom motorized bicycles & engine kits in Los Angeles, please visit us at http://www.venicemotorbikes.com
