4/22/12 Midwest Bicycle swapmeet

Postby Ratfink1962 on Tue Jan 24, 2012 4:30 pm

Time once again to post the details for the 3rd annual Midwest Bicycle swapmeet.

When: Sunday April 22nd, (rain date Sunday April 29th)
Where: Haysville hometown market, Haysville, Kansas
Time: vendor setup at 7am open for business at 8am and runs until ?

New this year will be a Pre-swap ride Saturday evening, Haysville has some decent bicycle paths so bring something to ride!

Out of towner's...
Haysville has two Hotels, one of them is brand new and should be open for business in the next few weeks. Also dont forget the brand new Kansas Star Casino is open 24/7 and its just 7 minutes south of Haysville.

Booth space still just $5

Im also working on some raffle stuff, maybe some cool parts, or even a rat bike? one free entry per paid seller, extra tickets will be available for purchase. more details to come!

Also... I just got word that a writer for Popular Mechanics magazine is interested in attending our swap meet, possibly to do an article for the magazine! I will keep you posted if I hear anything more.

Please spread the word, lets make this year the biggest yet!!!

Save me a booth! The recent move caused me to unload a bunch of my goodies before the swap. Guess that means I need some more flippers!

ndaway... dont worry, we will have the room for you.

I know if you spill the beans and show us your parts.... you wont have anything to sell at the swap meet :D

price on the light, hmmm ? I would say keep en eye out for other sales to see what similar stuff sells for and go from there. No matter what its priced at, someone is sure to make an offer if they really want it.

I try to price the stuff I dont want to haul home, pretty low. I try to make sure the stuff finds a new home. Sometimes it helps to give the Homies a good deal, that way we can trade back and forth and try to help each other out. Good bicycle Karma!

Yeah I'd encourage people to hang on to stuff for the swapmeet and not be tempted to sell prior to. Obviously the more stuff for sale at the swap the more successful it will be and increase the likelihood of it continuing.

Put me down for a booth! Don't know if I will have anything to sell or not, but it's worth it to me just to be able to attend & for the priviledge of buying!!!

I've got a few goodies saved up for our swap. Trades are welcome.
I had a great time last year and I'm sure this one will be better.
The free pile was a success last time, so it may return again!
If it’s too shallow then dig it more deep
If it’s too narrow then dig it more wide
If you see a point of light
