A place for scratch built frame bikes.
thanks for the compliments
as for the tank....im going to go full tank(not tool box style like all my others....thisll have curves since the rest of the bike does)....riding position is fine...i havent welded the seat on yet(been working on the shifter and got side tracked) but ive sat with it on in position and its actually comfortable.
again thanks and ill get the shifter pics up soon as well as the seat mounting
well its just a (really)rough mock up but you guys get the general idea....
shift arm still needs to be bent to what i want(like i need an excuse to play with the torch ) but its a start...
shift arms at 99% now......gonna finish the upper bend so its got a gentler(is that even a word ) radius, sand it down, polish, clear, and stripe the knob.
those pics will come after i finish the frame(ive got bike A.D.D.)
best part is im only $10.28 into the suicide shifter
Great idea! What holds the socket onto the gripshift? Did you cut off the backside of the socket or machine it to open up the end?
I've recently been diagnosed as having Obsessive Cycling Disorder

Just ran across your build here. Sorry, My Bad!! I really like were you are going with this and the frame being soooo loooww!! I love it! No speed bumps for you my friend. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see more!
well since i noticed someone wondering if id ever finish this in another thread......
i got some chain finally
maybe next month ill toss a seat and some bars at it
oh....the only parts that are staying is the chain(im guessing half link will like it)/chainring(thanks again kota!)/wheels/tires/and forks
How did I miss this one?
Looks great, really like the flowing lines on the frame, and nice choice of wheels/tires, gives it a real tough look IMO.
Cant wait to see it done.
just flash rust....no gloves worn yet plus lots of rain and humidity(fwiw i work fast when people toss money my way )
some metal prep and a scuff pad will make short work of it before it sees primer&paint...
ohhhh....i forgot to mention why im not running a 1" pitch chain on this one!
is about what my other club member had to say when he saw this
so no skip~link just a half link
