29 more days to go and it was arts and crafts day today. there were some bare spots on my trunk and i wanted to freshen it up a bit so i did a little decoupage.

this side was bare at first. i forgot to take a pic before i started.

you cant trust anything old you see anymore. this one was sanded, ripped and crumpled up at first.
Image

i had to wait until 2pm to do this one. stained with tea.
Image

then after they were on i used the tea bag to blot them to darken them up.
Image

i also used dipped some in milk then broiled them for a real distressed look.

Is it okay if I can join the build? The reason I ask is because I painted my folding bike with pro paint but I also added some satin white which was a rattle can job.

Sure I don't mind if no one else does. There's 28 days left in the build off.

It narrows my chance of coming in last, as if I care. :D

Post up some pics of your bike.

Thanks man! Nope no rattle bomb except the crank and sprocket. I did add some satin white rattle bomb in the back of it. The color is a custom ppg green i jus mixed something to see how it would come out.

I never drop anything old and rusty. Only when it's got a good coat of paint does it get dropped on the garage floor. Every last time!

This weekend my entry will get painted.

I've never used the hammered paint before, but it seems to work pretty well. I'm painting the rest tomorrow as it might hit 70f. I couldn't wait to get going so the chain guard was the test.

This will probably be my last post before it's done. I found a different kind of basket at the same thrift store where I bought the bike last year. Now I have 3 racks to choose from. But today was painting day, and I got it all done right before it cooled off. I even had time to paint the deck boards of my trimaran, it's getting ready for the big race in May.
