Sweet Liberty

Postby Tommy Atoms on Sat Aug 01, 2009 3:34 pm

I had alot of fun Ratrodding this old Schwinn for the past couple months. So here is the before shot.Image And the forks.Image Here is the bike as it sits today.ImageImage Here are some close-ups of the changes I made to it. First I had to make the pivots for the fork and I had to add the pencil brace to the handle bars.ImageImage I also modified the seatpost for a more layed back feel and I made this rear tank which I also call the "trunk" I have now removed it so it had a more hot rod look for the other pics.ImageImage And lastly the modified chainguard. I swear I musta gained a few horse ( I mean human) power from the aerodynamics of this thing. :) :P this is also my favorite piece on this bike and is the attention getter.Image And a little home stripes (my first try with a brush)ImageImage

Nice job on the build. I love the chainguard.

I also really like the frame with the dual lower bars.

Great looking bike.
