Front brake spring

I have a front weinmann brake that is missing the wire spring what wire could I use to frabricate one ..I can copy off the back brake

Take the back spring in to an industrial hardware supply place. They should have rolls of spring steel wire...sometimes called "piano wire". Get some the same dia. and make your own spring.

Or, post a message in the WANTED section of this forum and get the part you need. Gary

And keep your eye out for a throw away Varsity, maybe even ask at your LBS, they sometimes have bikes 'dropped off and sitting out back'.
