Re: Let's see those things never meant for a bike on your bike!I'm not sure why I didn't post this one earlier on. Sickle blade chainguard. Some farm implement for a rear fender, carb parts, and about 20 lbs of unneccessary steel.

Re: Let's see those things never meant for a bike on your bike! All of these were beautiful bikes. I really dug the rear hub/frontwheel suicide brake. That, and the use of car tail lights. It's also good to see peeps still riding burrito bikes. To the guy who built the drop spindles out of brake shoe backings, I gotta try that myself. I got some scrap steel laying around I think.

Re: Let's see those things never meant for a bike on your bike!
i like this. hard to tell in this pic (i never took a specific pic of it) but there's a piece of square tube welded to the middle of the front handlebar for something similar, but i never worked out what it would be ![]() also in relation to the thread, the backrests are from a motorcycle, the thicker foam grips on the rear handlebars is pipe insulation, and the saddlebags are backpacks. start where you are

Re: Let's see those things never meant for a bike on your bike!
+1 Would it be possible to take a "pan-out" pic to see how it all looks on your bike? Rat Rodding, is, if anything, the passionate act of creating something functional from an ostensible pile of rubble.

Re: Let's see those things never meant for a bike on your bike! One thing i want to do (didnt work out the first attempt) is to wrap a frame in barbwire and if i ever learn to weld i want to weld spikes going dow the top bar or fill in the middle with spiderweb
Let's see those things never meant for a bike on your bike!
I had the same idea with barbed wire, but I never did do it, because I just imagined all of the snags on clothes and other materials. Even blunting the barbs wouldn't help with all of that. Alchemist Custom Bicycles: http://www.facebook.com/AlchemyCustomBicycles
