Tapatalk misplaced another build thread. So I am just going to put it back in here

I had some cwc fenders in the garage so they were cut straightened and stripped

I built some wheels with a 26 and 24 worksman from a hd tricycle.

Started digging through mock up parts trying to make it palatable. I hate this part

three days later I found my drill bits
This fork was bent six different ways and the screws were broken off inside it

Lots of hammer

I didn't like the idea of the tiny axle, this is a really heavy bike. I used heavier axles and ground them flat to fit the fork

Needed a lamp so I packed a 50 led unit into an old one I had. Three brightness settings and a flasher setting
I love the steel saddle, however when you ride it 15 miles one day and ten the next day three you start to really feel it.
I recovered another saddle for the Rollfast so I stole it

I also stumbled on a shorty rack so I brushed it to look like tge rest of the bike

This is my favorite rider. It floats like a Cadillac.

I took a repop tank in trade and never could find the right frame for it. A little hammer, some bending and trimming I made it fit in this frame

Added a horn unit just to fill the holes in the tank and picked out a chainguard

I hate this part. I also never liked the chainwheel.
21ccf7c2621b3fcc8c3760d930efe6f3.jpg

Swapped the chainwheel and treated the chain guard
, heat polished with a wire wheel, painted and washed while the paint was still wet. The different finish on the steel hold color differently.

The chainguard looked so good it made the tank ugly so I heated a finish into it.

Very happy with it. I am really tempted now to put a worksman drum in the front wheel. I tend to smoke my hubs when I take these out to critical mass. Still needs a few details. Weighs as much as a cow. You do not care when you are riding it. I grab it just as often as I ride the roadsters. If I do not need a touring bike or a mountain bike that day.

Looks good, I have a 46/47 CWC super straight 3 gill with tank and enclosed chainguard that had it's original paint removed and then repainted at some point. I'm eventually going to do a bare metal build with it, this reminds me of that. They really are great riders arn't they!

Oh, and I picked up a nice expander brake at the swap meet so the rear hub has like a fifty pecent chance of never glowing red hot now. Pretty sure this bike weighs more than my daughter

The driver doesn't fit my cable and of course I would not notice until it is all back together. I have a spare that is actually better built than this one anyway.

This is an upgrade all around. That hub is a sealed bearing unit with a really crisp brake. I think there is a scale at the truck stop I can use to figure out how much electric hub I am going to need to carry this uphill. *grin*

Some nice matched bare steel heavy duty cable up here. Kind of throws it out of balance but I will sort something out.

New hub is installed and both features are tested. Speedometer may be a little off but it is close enough.

Found a dinosaur brake lever that I liked

And it fell over earlier, I may need to backfill the crater with some sand or something so I can push the mower through there now.
