Saw this neat looking mess on fbook market place. The seller hasn’t replied to my questions yet. So can anyone here ID this bike. This is the only pic on the ad

    Thanks

Looks like a 1960s Ross... Groovy frame! Very distinctive.

    Here's another....what it COULD become.

Squint and look just above the bottom bracket. You can just make out the "snowflake" chainring and that funky curved brace inside the guard. Compare that to the black Ross I provided.

Could be Ross. If it has a straight down tube and long pointy dropouts, I think it's a Murray.

If it's a Murray it would be a Spaceliner.

Not a Spaceliner. Spaceliner top tubes converge at both ends. See below:

Thanks for the info! I thought it might be a Spaceliner at first. Still no reply from the seller

That would be for someone that has some real strong love for Ross...at least that particular model of Ross. Looks like its spent some time at the bottom of a lake.

Wait...maybe @OddJob would want it...its got all kind of patina

You know me too well, @RustyGold . It would be fun to see what some white vinegar, #000 steel wool, and elbow grease would reveal on that c-Rust-acean.

more rust. I'm sure it's rusted inside as well as out. Try to get to bare metal and you would go clear through. Best used as yard art. Put a basket on it and plant flowers. $2 tops.
