Re: Velo Jardin-It is not the speed of the build, but the build!

Good morning! I was sent this for inspiration. I thought I would share. Hope to get some time in the shop today.

Progress looking good. Neat to see family builds going on. My wife doesn't get her hands soiled but makes suggestions on what she thinks looks best once in a while.

Thank you...

I may take wrench in hand today for a New Departure.... I have put it off long enough.

Playing with some lights and stuff. Still waiting to tackle the coaster brake. So many little parts. But I will build and succeed. :D

Re: Velo Jardin-It is not the speed of the build, but the build!

Thank you! Ok so I got distracted:

Actually, because I am a "cricket", I thought it would be prudent to work on another bike and practice rebuilding a hub, etc before I start on VJ

I must humbly bow before the Master JATS and thank him for walking me through this practice build. He says, "Cricket, only practice will complete your build"

THANK You for guiding the NOOB....again.

Ok so I got to spend some time in the shop...thought I'd share what sharing space is like during this Build Off. :D

My work bench area...

My better half's work bench area...

Above my head in my area...I love these actually...

My trusty Mascot...

My "artsy" front light light...

I hopefully will get VJ into the rack sometime today and post more pics...

Re: Velo Jardin-Some new pics...still going...slow but steady

This is such a fun build to follow.
You need more stuff on your workbench though.

Looking good. Yes, you can certainly tell the difference in the fenders before and after pics. Nicely done.

Re: Velo Jardin-Back from the Baaaa Lands...New pics

Hi everyone!

Been at the Black Sheep Gathering! (My other love is spinning wheels and spinning.)

Here was my home away from home!

And here are some of the friends I made while there...almost brought home a pair of Shetlands...but came to my senses.

Came home to really work on what needs to be done...so I have my first "official" mock-up. Check out the killer "baby" ape hangers I found...and yes, I need that wide a seat!

I have a long way to go but am pleased. Changed a few design elements. I do not have to rebuild the coaster break....yippee!!!! Looking forward to putting her all together and my first ride.

Re: Velo Jardin-Back from the Baaaa Lands...New pics

Nice mockup momma jats. Those Trek seats are pretty cool and big.
