Tearing apart some junky bikes. Found this wierd 2 piece chainwheel on a Mexican built Roadmaster mtn. bike.

The small chainwheel might be cool for a klunker build...
 
IDK where I came by this wheel, but going thru the stash and thought the end of the cog looks wierd, like a speed is missing?

It's a "Slick shift system by DNP", I also thought I saw somewhere the rim is German? I also think it may have come from a Schwinn Frontier bike.
 
That freewheel is definitely broken. I googled it and they all looked like this. I am guessing the smallest cog broke in half because of cheap metal, old age, and hard use.

The small chainwheel might be cool for a klunker build...
When running silly sized tires and gearing I have used the small ring bolted to a coaster sprocket to reach an acceptable ratio. The biggest coaster I find is 23 tooth...
