there are SO many amazing frames and parts going into some of these bikes, its gonna take some real creative genius to surpass the beauty of these amazing vintage rats with cheapo parts... :(

I dont want to come off sounding like a lame-o, but its the cheapo stuff that i appreciate almost more than the twinbars, bluebirds and other big dollar bikes. whats more important is that we are all having fun with bicycles.... our community is filled with great folks who are creative and passionate about bikes - without price tags.

that being said - im going to have to start getting creative instead of just assembling an antique bicycle.

you can thank viktor schreckengost for almost all of these amazing bikes

now look over there! a funny picture........

Personally,
I would love to see The Jetflow Express finished.
I'm completely digging the whole thing so far....Especially that taillight :D

Re: The Jetflow Express....Painful itch (went to the doctor)

Go with the JETFLOW.

This build is shaping up to be the "Tucker" of bikes.

Re: The Jetflow Express....Painful itch (went to the doctor)

Man,

The X-53 is truly a beauty and befits the company of that Tucker.

I thinking this build will equal or surpass the X-53.

Re: The Jetflow Express....Painful itch (went to the doctor)

these wheels are driving me crazy -

this is the first set of wheels ive ever laced - for one the spokes i got are too short. i was shooting for a "cross 3" pattern with them and the last run would not reach to the nipple.

i found some longer spokes that are now too long...

wheel builders... do i attempt a cross 4? or wait until my LBS gets the correct length spoke in...

pics and video later..

Re: The Jetflow Express - ¿ back on the rocker, or am I ?

ok ok ok - here we go - so first of all i got this new stem - its an old wienman and it just fits perfectly with the rest of the lines...

next up - i got my new tires in the mail - introducing the hellaflush "lopes" low profile tires....

you can get mad tuck on these puppies -

in all honesty, im waiting to get my jarod tires in - but look at the great job rev106 did on lacing my wheels. - they were so dirty and grimey when i got them, i had no idea they were going to clean up as well as they did - the rear rim is missing a bit of chrome, but overall they are in great shape and they are still laser straight. guess little billy was afraid of the big bad curb.

anyways - im contemplating a few things...

but when the tires get here - its on like 2 left shoes at a high school dance.
