I am heading south for a wedding in Knoxville, TN next Sat...will be in the Smokeys by Mon. nite... Anybody live/visit down there? Any must sees for the vintage bike/car nut? or other bits of local color not in the tour books?

I've lived in the knoxville area for about 20 years... It's a neat little city. If your into bars and/or live music, you should check out the Old City district in downtown. Market Square and Gay street in downtown are interesting too.
Oh, and there is a big street rod show this weekend in Knoxville. Im not going this year, but it is really cool. You can see some awesome custom hot rods and classics there. Here is a link for info. NSRA Street Rod Nationals South-
But there's not too much as far as biking. The city does nothing to promote bicycle transportation, and the hilly terrain is rough for those heavy old beach cruisers. But you should check out that
