Anyone reside in the St Pete area or someone familiar with the area? We will be flying down for a week in February and hoping to get local knowledge on the biking and other sports- stand up paddleboarding and kayaking to the parks.
I found a place that rents bikes by the hour, but want to have two wheels for the entire week.

I live in St. Pete, dont know much about paddle boarding but there are plenty of canoe/kayak rental places around here. If you get on our Craigslist you could probably buy a cheap bike for around 50 and give it away when you leave. It would probably be cheaper than renting one.

I live in Pinellas Park. The Gulf Kruisers are having a night cruise the first Friday of February in Palmetto, Florida starting at a place called Slick's Garage. Palmetto is around a 1/2 hour drive south from St. Pete. If you are here that day you are more than welcome to join us. We will meet at 7pm at Slicks Garage 923 5th Street East, Palmetto, Florida 34221. We will start pedaling at 7:30. There will be a Car show taking place here, with a DJ, food, etc. So if you like arrive early to check it out. From Slicks Garage will proceed south and go over the Green Bridge into Bradentons new River walk. From there we will peddle some more to Tarpon Pointe Grill and Tiki Bar and stop there for taking in some refreshments, maybe food, music and good chat. When we had our fill we will kruise back to Slicks to end the night. This will be an awesome time.

Mastec- thanks for the info and invite. Wish timing was on our side, we fly in on the 13th. Right now I'm debating having a couple bikes shipped or buying a couple off craigslist when I get there. My folks live in Ocala and we'll drop off the bikes at their place to store until our next trip out if it's the shipped ones.
With subfreezing temps around here we're looking forward to the 70 degree temps cruising beachside.

There is a few places to rent bikes in the Seminole area, not far from St. Pete depending on were you are staying that rent by the day or week.
