Twice a year I play hooky and go to the huge gearhead flea market in Carlisle, PA. This time I snagged pics of lots of bike stuff. Figured I'd share in case anyone would get a kick out of seeing the stuff that was there.

This Roadmaster Wedge was REALLY sweet. No price and the guy was busy with customers so I didn't ask.

Lots of wacky parts on this one.
    20190425_092400.jpg
Beautiful shape, but isn't that a little pricey?
    20190425_092722.jpg
There were plenty of these if mopeds are your kink.

Non-bike-related side note... it kills me that I used to be able to pick up steering wheels like this for 5 bucks. Nobody wanted them, everybody was replacing them with something fancier. Bucket seats are the same way. We used to pick them up for 50 bucks for a nice usable pair. Now it's $300-$400 for a completely roached-out set to use as a base for all new foam and upholstery.

This one was pretty. Reasonably priced at $75.

$650 with mediocre paint, the wrong decals, and the wrong seat and sissy?
    20190425_095640.jpg 20190425_095743.jpg
This is the Apollo I ended up taking home. Guy would have taken $25 for the blue Skoot next to it.
    20190425_095825.jpg

    Asking $450 20190425_101629.jpg 20190425_101650.jpg

Notice the guard on the lavender Barracuda says Stick Shift. No doubt someone yoinked it off to use on a boy's bike and stuck this grip shift on to sell it. 20190425_101751.jpg

    I REALLY liked this one. Asking $300. 20190425_110635.jpg 20190425_110714.jpg

This was one row over from the guy with the Apollo and the identical Skoot, only this was cleaned up and they wanted 125 for it. 20190425_110838.jpg
    Man cave decor, anyone? 20190425_111210.jpg

Oddball 20-inchers. Check out the last pic of the guard on the black bike. Star Shot? Star Wars-inspired for sure. Also: B.F. Goodrich Challenger, The Londoner, made-in-Germany President. 20190425_111331.jpg 20190425_111353.jpg 20190425_111452.jpg 20190425_111516.jpg

More to come... I don't want to overload one post with pics. (Is there a limit?)

NO IDEA what this is. 20190425_111749.jpg 20190425_112459.jpg

You want motorized fun? We got motorized fun. 20190425_112541.jpg 20190425_112625.jpg 20190425_113544.jpg 20190425_113721.jpg
maybe this is your thing, I dunno...
    20190425_113741.jpg 20190425_113808.jpg 20190425_114424.jpg 20190425_114438.jpg

    What the heck is with this shifter? 20190425_114455.jpg 20190425_114504.jpg 20190425_115740.jpg 20190425_121316.jpg 20190425_121619.jpg

I had never seen a Schwinn Town & Country before this. Then I saw another just like this but in better shape a few rows down. (Stay tuned, pic is down there somewhere.)

Funky 24x16. And I really liked the 24" Roadmaster tanker next to it too. Just a little too rusty and roached out for me.
    20190425_124932.jpg 20190425_124946.jpg 20190425_124953.jpg 20190425_125001.jpg 20190425_125009.jpg 20190425_125109.jpg 20190425_125221.jpg 20190425_131150.jpg
    20190425_131214.jpg

It really hurt not to take this one with me. 20190425_131253.jpg 20190425_131259.jpg
They were asking $2500 for this one. 20190425_132242.jpg

And this Sears Spyder (? Huffy? Murray? Columbia?) really wanted to come home with me too. 20190425_132613.jpg 20190425_132638.jpg

One more round of pics after this...

Can't remember what this small frame was... AMF?
    20190425_132923.jpg 20190425_132939.jpg 20190425_132950.jpg 20190425_133301.jpg

Interesting bike right here... Belknap Blue Grass? 20190425_133322.jpg 20190425_133331.jpg

Fun little Ross, looked like kind of a low-budget Barracuda. 20190425_133355.jpg
    I didn't ask. 20190425_133552.jpg
Only at Carlisle. (Actually, wasn't there something like this in a Ford truck commercial recently?) 20190425_133757 (2).jpg

    neat little custom. 20190425_135723.jpg

Aaaand here's the other Town & Country as promised above. 20190425_140120.jpg 20190425_140131.jpg

It looked like someone touched up the guard with a Sharpie. 20190425_140142.jpg

I think they were asking $700. That seems to be the default ask on a Fastback. 20190425_140152.jpg 20190425_140213.jpg

24 inch. Really tempted me. 20190425_140431.jpg

The South Park kids in the bus windows killed me.:grin::rofl: 20190425_140938 (2).jpg

Managed to get the bike I rode around and the bike I bought in the trunk of a Buick Century without too much heartache, even with all that emergency coolant in there. 20190425_141921.jpg

And there was lots more that I didn't get pics of. If you are within reasonable driving distance of Harrisburg, PA and you're into rusty old cars or bikes or anything else of that nature, I highly recommend the Spring and Fall shows at Carlisle.
