Hi all,

I am really glad I found this site. I am attempting my first build. Any input is welcome. My plan is to run 26 inch wheels with a 8 speed Alfina suicide shifter. I reached out to Gates Belt Drives to see if that is an option. They are releasing longer belts for a new line of industrial long bikes. Ill post what I find out.

all the best,
Alex

Some nice lines there!
How dose that thing steer with it raked like that? Defiantly an extreme design approach
Looks like the trail has been built into the forks nicely, should ride fine, but as with all big rake bikes, might need a large turning circle...

Luke.

Sorry not saying can't, was just asking how well;)
I'm not averted to funky geometry was honestly curious... Be cool see the front hangers, that would dictate how raked out it is...
Looks crazy at the headtube.

Arrived today, the build begins.

Looks like the frame needs a bit of TLC before paint. Lots of excess brazing around the logo's. The only way to fix it is to heat em up and remove. Re sand and re apply with a strong adhesive.

sanding the surounding with a dremel would not do the job ?

Yes im sure your right however, im having the frame professionally painted. The logos have a lot of Sharp angles and points that removing them and sand blasting would have a more professional look. The logos are painted as well in a anodized red color. beyond my skills.

I ran into my first problem. The hope headset did not fit at the race. Switched to FSA headset and fit perfectly. 108.00 down the drain. to be expected i quess
