This may be heresy, but I would like to build a skinny tire Worksman trike, by lacing some 700c rims onto the stock hubs.

The spoke holes in the hub are entirely too large, and the guy at my LBS tells me there are no bushings made to reduce the hole size.

Short of welding the holes closed and redrilling them, what options do I have for this?
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I sold Pudge this drum brake hub that had the big spoke holes. He used small brass washers to allow smaller spokes.

If I were lacing Worksman hubs to a 700 wheel set, I would drill the rims to accept the larger nipples. But that's just me...

Depending on the flange diameter you can do what Schwinn did on the Campy Paramount hubs many years ago and just drill a second set of holes between the original ones.
