'63 DL-1. This needed a full strip-down re-build re-paint. Still need to do the fenders and find a missing access door for the chainguard. I kinda like it as pictured though, and I did put some decals on and then took them off again. Rod to drum brakes fore and aft give me average stopping power. I think there's just too much slop in the rods and linkages to give the kind of direct pull a cable would. It's so nice to ride though, one of my favourite riders. For bike paths only lol

Raleigh Butcher's Bike.
Like I need more bikes, but have an issue with unique old frames.
I just can't stop myself.

Raleigh Rodeo.
Toasted seat and shifter replaced. I reached out to a muscle bike listing on Kijiji to see if he had Xtra
parts. He had the shifter, I had the original mounting
plate. He offered another style banana seat as well too. 20x1 3/8 tires will get on the road.
The old 1930/40s chair may give up it's hide for seat recovers. It's also English and and the material is called Rexine. UK version of Naugahyde

I have a 1948 Humber Sports with an original Raleigh handle bar that's rare. My pics aren't uploading for some reason but the handle bars are chopper style.
Has a 3 speed sturmy archer that I've only peddled on the ground because I ain't riding that bike with no seat.
Has Schwinn breeze tires too but they are cracked. Original fenders also but I took them off to work on it. The front hub and headlight with single rear red ligjt work too.

My 1970 Raleigh Folder. Have had for a few years. Was rusted with original tires. Rear wheel was pitted...replaced rear wheel that had a '73 Sturmey hub in excellent condition. Replaced tires and cleaned up.

Had lots of rust and needed adjustments/tweaks.
Just about all of the rust came off with a lot of scrubbing.
Adjusted gears,brakes...new tubes and whitewalls.
Original Brooks saddle (B72) tip broke off but I saved
the bag. Rides really nice and going to be my daily rider.

Wow that's a nice one! The gold bands are classy, and is that an original bike shop sticker I see?
Not a bike shop sticker but a bicycle license sticker for The Villge of Northbrook, a suburb of Chicago-undated so no idea when license would have been issued

@jimbo53 I am begging you for more pictures, specifically the rod actuated front brakes and the headlight..and is that another brake on the chain stay Also controlled by the same lever?
And when you upload, could you hit full image instead of thumnail? Makes them easier to view and zoom.

I'm not home, but will be happy to post pictures of the rod brakes and light when I get home tomorrow.
