Hey Everybody,
Got the Spaceliners out for a ride to Dairy Queen with My wife's son, girlfriend, and "The Little Guy" who has Mag Ray
IMG_5516III.jpg

Figured out that his bike was 12 inch (not 16) so he needs a little more growing time yet
He helped me tune it up and reminded me to lube the chain  8)

He was cranking on that the little bike keeping up and trying to pass :D
We got my wife's son and girlfriend out riding for the first time on a long time

Thanks guys about the DQ run (warm March). Think Skipton commutes with his so he's probably the highest miles
Hope more people are getting back out with the nice weather
Steve

It was a perfect weather day in Mpls! 80F, low humidity, and really sunny :D
So I corralled my wife into a short ride on the Spaceliners

So since I took out the Liner lately but have been riding the Felt more,
I realized I really miss the Spaceliner (still have to fix the creaky BB)
I also got inspired again after Jackdaw got the chrome frame thread going (thanks Bud)

Unfortunately for a lot of people SW of MN (Colorado fires),
We are getting a fair amount of smoke in our skies
Lots of bright orange sunrises and sunsets

Thanks for posting the other pics Skipton.
The action art shots of the Spaceliner in the rain are too cool

Kingfish: we may have quite a few more visiting now, I hope...
Yours looks good in front of the fountain!

Okay, so now that I have some time after the build off,
I'm going to add the pictures from the next day after visisting Skipton in Chicago

Next morning (after the Skipton and Rick gathering) I went for a ride to find the beach while my wife went for a run
It was only about a mile away (way over shot it the first time)

This shot was when I realized why my seat hurt (unusual) becasue it tilited backward
Really nice morning!

Looks really differnt shooting into the sun, HUGE Beach, I'm in heaven!

IMG_6861II.jpg

Rode out to the end of the pier
When I was doing this shot, a guys says "Those are some wide whitewalls!" must be the glare
IMG_6872II.jpg

Kinda like the curving of the pier in this shot

One more with downtown Chicago int he background
IMG_6867II.jpg

So head back to the hotel, really cool little street it was on
IMG_6880II.jpg

Headed out with my Wife , back to the beach
IMG_6881II.jpg

It was GREAT! Super soft sand, lots of space, sunny and ~90. we both ended up falling asleep
IMG_6882II.jpg

After some sun, sand and water, we headed down the lake
Lots of people take their bikes to the beach volley ball courts
IMG_6891II.jpg

Back out on the pier for some more shots
IMG_6895II.jpg

Sea gulls hung out here. Funniest thing I saw was seagulls eating bees that were after the clover?!
IMG_6893II.jpg

Nice shot looking out to the lake of my wife. Heard some monster motor power boats in the background
IMG_6892II.jpg

One of me
IMG_6894II.jpg

Rode for a several more miles and just absorbed the great day
Later that day we rode to get some chicago style pizza (MMMmmm!)
We ended up having to weave through the thousands of Cubs fans exiting Wrigley field

This area (just north of Downtown) reminds me of Uptown Mpls but enormous
My Wife took one more shot at the hotel
IMG_6898II.jpg

Packed up the next day and headed home. Kinda short trip but well worth it, for a whole bunch of reasons
Thanks again Rick and Skipton

Thanks for looking
Steve
