So the serial # K150819, tells me its 61, but I have been told the double tube didnt start til 62.
I pulled the cranks out, also confirms 61?

Input Anyone?

CMAN, not sure what Im supposed to be looking at in the links?

My seat stays run all the way to the front. The Skipper in that catalog looks like the seat stays stop at the seat tube?

Catalog reprints that I have show the 26 inch Skipper available 1961 and 1962. I have always heard that the 1962 Typhoon was the only year that it had the continuous tubes from headtube to rear axle.

Interesting!?
So, they might have slapped a "Skipper" chaingaurd onto a "Typhoon" frame. The chaingaurd looks to me like its been there since day 1. Maybe someone was High that day and made a mistake!? Guess this could be a good one to post onto the NEW Schwinn Forum...
