Picked this up from a local flipper, looks to be a 1969 Fastback 3 speed, can't really find much info on it, I find more about the 5 speeds.

They made 3-Speeds in 1969, nice find. Looks like a very clean bike!

The bike has a late 1969 shifter on it, it has 3 bends in the handle. The 1969 Schwinn's had the best shifter of all their Sting-Ray bikes.

If I owned that, I wouldn't need to be in the Build-Off right now! :D That is one awesome bike.

Sweet! Is that just metallic blue, or does it look a bit greenish? Maybe it's just the pic (or my computer). I used to have a 69 5-speed krate, wish i had kept it.

Do we refer to this as a stingray? The frame is different and it runs narrower wheels.

It is a stingray. Just a different model.
All fastbacks are stingrays but not all stingrays are fastbacks.
