This probably isn't news to old hands, but anyone who has absentmindedly cracked open a vintage headset, only to have tiny loose bearings pour out all over the floor, will appreciate this trick. Make yourself a magic wand! It's nothing more than an old spoke with a neodymium magnet glued to one end by epoxy. With a small enough magnet, it probes into all kinds of tight spaces--headsets, hubs, pedals... Works like a charm, too. You might never spill loose bearings ever again.
