I put this together because so many people ask where they can see the past "winners." I believe everyone who finished a bike they set out to build in the build-off is a winner, but below you can find the top 3 vote getters from each build-off. If there are mistakes, I am sorry, I wasn't "there", I just went back into the archives and pulled photos and build threads based on the top votes in the polls. You can go back and see all the past builds in the archives, lots of very cool stuff, but without further ado, here they are:

Thanks for putting that together. :D

Really shows just how cool the build offs have been over the years.

It took too long, but once I start something I like to finish. Looking back, if you wanna be in the top 3, a springer is a must. 3 truss rod forks, 2 triple trees, 3 "regular" forks, the rest are springers of some description.

Edit: And if I could own ANY of these, it would be Madd Hammer.

I agree... Thanks for your time putting this together....
It really does show what incredible builds there have been over the years....

It also shows its time for a Spaceliner frame to win... ( ahem... Me )
And a Sidecar to come in second,,,,( yoothgeye )

Looks like Karfer REALLY raised the bar, a fork treatment of some kind is almost a necessity at this point. Cinco even benefited from a fork redo. Oh, and high dollar wheel sets don't hurt either. :D

It is nice to see them all together, but you forgot all the secondary build off winners- space bike, kids bike, anything goes...

I knew someone would start crying for additions, and it's a moderator! haha Do you know how long this took to make?!

Other builds can be added, I just wanted to do the yearly build-offs now since we are about to start another, and when it's over I plan to update with the new winners.

Save a place for me,,,,,,

This is also a great thread for all those whining about changing the rules, some have said that with the rules we've hit a ceiling of what can be done with a stock frame... how can you look at these bikes and see how ANYONE or their creativity has been stifled by the rules?

I'm not disputing building bikes that are fully custom or by modifying the frame, I have modified frames too, but in the build-off I think anyone who wants to can build a really awesome bike without having to modify the frame. If they want to, the build-off won't stop them.

True but even a modified frame isnt always as cool as what pple can do with paint petina an set style but I also see your point also not everyone has the welding experinence so it keeps the field pretty level okay your right dont get use to it lol
