I found this in a dumpster. I'd be willing to guess that nobody is, or will be using the same frame. It's a Fuji. It's one of those bikes that you had to smoke 500,000 Marlboro's to get. What better way to get healthy. Oh! I forgot, it FOLDS! Or should I say SWINGS.

This is the start

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

I love the idea of smoking a bunch of cigarettes to earn enough points to get a bike that you then couldn't ride up a hill without weezing and coughing and taking another smoke break!

Make it rat, make the deadline, I'll be watching. Good luck.

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

I hope it comes out as "wild" as your last build off bike, Twisted Sister Flipped. 8)

Anyone that uses a folding bike has my attention.
Just throw some Harley tires on it.

I told you!! Peace

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

I did a single speed conversion on this one about 6 years ago:

far lighter crank
single speed bmx freewheel
new 1/8" chain
new brakes
folding pedals
new brake levers
new seat.

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

With that paint in poor condition, I'd say it's a prime candidate for a different color.

When you strip the bike down, don't be surprised when the crank arms weigh more than the frame. Possibly the heaviest crank set ever. ABS clad cast iron.

AAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH!!!! perfect. You couldn't resist could you!

It is a cool, different frame. Will be neat to see what you do with it!

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

Okay you could paint it in spades, diamonds, hearts, clubs. That could be cool.
Or paint it to look like a big stack of smoldering cigarettes.

I got a fog machine (meant for desk top bonzai or rock gardens) in SF Chinatown a few years ago that is very tiny and could be concealed somewhere.

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

Very busy at work so have not had lot of time to work on bike, but this is what I have done.
Took bike to bear frame and cut the end of the top tube.

Tried stripping paint with oven cleaner did not work, trying some thing new will tell you if it works.

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

Cutting off the top tube? Going for a Swing Bike?

Just add a lit match while applying that oven cleaner!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

The bike has no thing to do with smoking. Just sit back and watch my build it will be interesting!

Be careful and read the rules before you plan/execute a build.

I don't know yer final plan but I believe you may have disqualified this frame.

3. Must use factory frame....no altering of original frame structure/geometry

Re: <<RIDGE RUNNER MUSCLE>>

I gave it just a hair cut.

I can see where your frame alteration may help you make a cooler bike, but I think what you did is outside of the rules. You could always weld it back on, but if you move forward, it will likely be an outside the rules build.
