Hey Everyone,
I'm new to the forum, but I've been loving the bike pictures on instagram for a long time.
Here's my first submission for the build off. I bought this bike June 6th on offerup. These are my before pictures:

The tires were terrible, the mounts for the motor and chain-tensioner were in the wrong places, and it had a lot of rust.

I wanted the rims to glow, and made a big mistake in painting where the brakes clamp. It took some time scraping it off neatly. I have no idea how many coats of white and glow paint were applied. Lots...

I needed a battery mount and thought it would be cooler as a spoiler too.

I think it took about two days to plan, cut, and bend.

Then I had to paint so more parts.

I had sooo much trouble with the gas tank paint. The white would look good and then the glow coat kept sliding/cracking because I was painting too fast. I had to keep removing all the paint and starting from scratch. I painted it 3 times before it was acceptable. What a headache...

Someone pushed/leaned on my spoiler, and then wouldn't admit it after they broke it...

Someone also dropped my bike and scratched my paint. I was soooo hurt and upset. I really didn't know how I was going to fix it in time for my 1st Car & Bike Show. They leaned it on a pole, even though I just bought and installed a heavy-duty kickstand. I found that odd... They quietly went home, and I found the damage later.

I repaired as much damage as I could and the V103 Car & Bike Show was fun. I had to wait 3 hours in 90 degree heat to be accepted into the competition. It made all those sleepless nights seem worth it.

I had the only bicycles there, so I didn't expect to win anything. It was just for fun...

I liked what you did with the spoiler. And $80 bucks was cheap.
Maybe a half a box to cover the battery in a way you can bolt on easy,it will also help support the spoiler. Just a thought... Because rat rod bikes are never completed.

Thanks, I was considering upholstery to cover some wires and the battery, but what do you have in mind with a cover that has support? The spoiler doesn't flop around, but I am going to reinforce the sides anyway...

Welcome to RRB and BO13
What a fun build to catch up on.
Love the freaking light sabers!

Like one of those cookie tins with ons side cut out. Or if you can get yr hans on some aluminium and a rivet gun/drill you could cut one out and bend and make it... Just not sure what tools you have. But sure if you go to a thrift shop you would find something in the right size.
