Can anyone help me with the year of this western flyer frame? Trying to determine the builder, kind of reminds me of CWC frame. Its def prewar I believe. I appreciate any help..

1954 CWC...cool frame/fork
Thanks for the info I appreciate it.. My knowledge of old bikes is still pretty new, I have been under the impression that if the drop outs were rear facing it was a possible sign of being prewar, is that not the case? Also would you happen to know what this bike should look like complete?Thanks..

Schwinn has a definitive pre-/post- war split on rear/front facing dropouts...but, the rest of the manufacturers were on a less defined model-by-model basis .

As to what it looked like originally...depends on the model. Could be anything from an unequipped model (no tank, rack, lights, springer, truss rods, or maybe even no chainguard) to a pimped out top of the line models. With the truss rods you have, I would suspect a mid to deluxe range model. But...you can make out of it whatever you want as most used the same frames. Examples...
