Ok, so much for plan 'A', the cro-mo fork w/the canti bosses isn't done yet. Popped on a basic BMX cruiser fork and did a very minimalist bomber instead. I'm optimistic the lighter fork and alloy SR 'Swan' stem will help me hold the weight of the canti brake equiped version to the same sub-30 pounds I have now. Who knows? It may not even go on this particular bike- I think I'm going to look at another in the morning. Same frame, same color....Just glad I usually have some klunker style spares laying around the garage! Basic, but pretty quick at 29.5 lbs! :)

Suntour XC-II pedals and vintage Specialized crank- favorites of mine

Campagnolo QR front hub, a first for me on a klunker- should make transport simpler. Also on a narrow 7x

13/16x7/8 top, 6061 aluminum seatpost, Brooks B68 (no springs), and a Specialized QR- another small part favorite
