Located this old long spring saddle remanent at an auto swap meet. I’m thinking Mesinger or Peerless? The spring section is chromed. The cover would have been held in place with some crimp tabs on bottom side of pan. There’s no nut at bottom of vertical spring post, the bottom spring portion is held in place by spirals on the spring post.
