Picked up this bike yesterday for my niece. It's an Oxford bike which the decals have worn off so I don't know the model. Any one familiar with this bike that may be able to offer some information. Not necessarily interested in the worth or value. After a clean up and some maintenance, it will be my niece's fun ride.

I'm not 100% familiar with it, but can tell you any muscle bike with a 3 piece crank if foreign made. Oxford was also a brand of Hong Kong made accessories back in the 60's and 70's, so I would guess this bike might be a Made in Hong Kong product?

But that is just a guess, it could be made in another country but definitely foreign.

I think she'll dig it! Great seat! Get some AMF frame decals from Bruce Crawford, a basket like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Colorbasket...273479?hash=item21222cab07:g:DokAAOSwTuJYwdNT

Some plastic flowers to match the seat to tie on to the basket, and she'll be rolling!

If you want to brighten it up for her, I think white walls would be the way to go.

And don't forget the streamers!! (Can you tell I have a daughter who rides muscle bikes?)

Last thing, you see that spoke cover? That was a rage back in the 60's. I have some if you'd like them. I also have some color clickers. (Same concept, but they slide along the spokes) Girl's loved them back in the day. Let me know. They'll be a gift from my daughter to your niece

Hahaha...yes, I can tell. It not only my niece, but I got my nephews, and grandsons riding muscle bikes. It's a matter of time before my other niece (4 years old ) starts asking for one.

They all love riding them. I'll have post some pics

Agree on the white walls. Thanks for all the info and links. I'll give a search this evening.

The spoke cover idea would be a nice touch and keep with the retro look. Much appreciated. I'll take you up on the offer if you're still up for it. Thanks.

Cleaned up the front hub yesterday, replaced the bearings. Cleaned up the rear hub this evening. It cleaned up really nice. She will be rolling nice and smooth very soon.
