Dude...just keep after the wagon.
It is starting to look pretty good.
I'm not giving up on the wagon, just starting another project to keep it company. Both will be keepers.

It's coming home this weekend!!! So I can post a few pics of the actual car. little rough around the edges but it will be a fun project.

That should make for a nice toy hauler, but...

Please, whatever you do. Don't do it up like the hearse in the Ghostbusters reboot. I have a suspicion we'll be seeing plenty of those.

Not going there bro, It will remain a hearse but thinking of taking the casket rack out of the back and find a wagon parts car like my caprice wagon to salvage the folding seats out of. Pull the carpet off the seats (down position) and do a wood floor and make some fake rollers to put on them so with the 2nd and 3rd row folded down it will still look like a hearse but I will have seating for 8 with the seats up.

Thing that's cool is the hearse has 8 inches added in the rear floor area so it will be translated to extra leg room in the back seat, it's longer too so extra cargo room, It has a higher roof for more headroom, It has a 307 olds v8 under the hood, 60k miles on it's clock, Very similar front end to a Buick GNX

Maybe rat rod it... Love grand theft auto 5 just for the mod shop... I can see what it looks like before doing a thing to it.

So freaking bummed right now, I had a tow truck lined up, cash in hand, ready to get this awesome hearse and I get a call and it's sold.

Get ready for this! Like a bloodhound hungry for the hunt I tracked it down! Called the seller and had a long talk, got the new owner's number, through calling 10 different numbers 1 by one I found it!!! It went the wrong way to Michigan City from Medaryville. I called the new owner and it's coming my way next weekend for $600 delivered!!!

Had to come up with some fast cash so I bought this 1988 VW Cabby drop top for $300 off local craigslist, and spent 48 minutes cleaning it before my friend bought it for $400 and cashed my check so I'm getting a hearse.

The hood was scratched bad so I made it a two tone. Muscle car style.

Little garden hose and scrub brush action and it's restored!

Never find deals like that around here. I'd have bought the vw off you myself.
Congrats on getting the hearse.

This hearse has been like chasing a ghost... One minute it's there the next it's not, can't wait to till this next weekend. The buyer ripped the bumper off trying to get this 5,000 lb+ monster out of the mud with flat tires and all. They said it took 4 hours, 2 broken chains, broken tow strap, and lots of digging to get it out.

Front end kinda reminds me of the old Buick GNX.

Little rough but fixable

5 door...The rear door is the size of a Camaro. Great for hauling stuff.

enough space for 10+ bikes back here. with a partition between the driver and passenger.

Cool blue crushed velvet and chrome.

Looks like it will clean up nice.

I see the GNX there, definitely has some regal styling. Hope you can get the front fixed. Will make a nice toy hauler, bet no one thought this things last passenger might be a rusty old bike.

She said she has the bumper so I can always put it back on, the filler panel is shot though and I'll try to find a another fender. If nothing else Year One has Buick GNX front ends piece by piece. Would be sweet to build it as a tribute to the GNX's turbo V6. 307 olds twin turbo could be fun.

Ok so the hearse is home but I work 11-8 back to back so limited time to get to cleaning but I got some pictures as it sits now.

The top didn't like highway speeds and they ripped the bumper off pulling it out of the mud.

307 olds

You've got some work ahead of you on this one.
The good news is you should be able to pull fenders from just about any 80's full size GM, I had an 85 Bonneville years ago with the same trim.

This will be a cool project to watch with the caprice.
