Well i know everyone is going to jump on me for no pics... but hey i will get to it.
FNG from the HAMB i have a 1938 ace and a 70's schwinn The 70's is a 20 incher with a ton of patina. In fact the paint is gone all you can see is rust and some faint white where the pinstripes were. It's a pretty hot bike if i do say so myself. I have about 4 hours in into the chrome cleanup on it and i put some air in the tires and adjusted the seat and handlebars.
the Ace is a totally different story i just got it from my neighbor he bought it new when he was a little tike. I would love to restore it back to OG and show it to him maybe see if he can still give it a spin. It was red with white accents on it the hearts and skiptooth chain. He painted over the og paint with some FLAT BLACK see its not a new fad its old school hahah. He painted it back in the late 40's and claims that the bike has more miles then his truck. The rims on it are rotted really bad but the hubs might be salvagable. The frame needs some work on it the seat is in fairly good shape. The balloon tires are rotted (i still tried to put air in them anyways) So far the bike is going back to bare metal to fix the dents in it and other small problems then i will paint it a candy something or another. I need to find a new crank and chain which shouldn't be a problem i just need to look through some "stuff"
My "stuff" hmmm when i was 15 years old i bought out a bike shop. I paid 500$ for stuff no one else wanted. Now i have basically a treasure of great stuff. Nothing is newer then 1980 and everything is pretty much new in the box. This weekend if i have time i will snap some pics of my "rides"
