So...where's the Schwinn? The bike pictured is from Cleveland Welding, most likely a Roadmaster with a modified intermediate bar. The 53Cw imprint clinches the ID.

I don't remember ever seeing a frame with the middle tube like that. There's a lot of mismatched parts also.

Not being critical, just wondering what it is.

If I had to take a stab I might guess it started out as a 1953 Shelby Traveller. I also thought the intermediate bar was peculiar, possibly doctored, but this photo reveals that there WAS a CWC frame produced with similar style.

I was just basing it off the head badge, but that could have been changed easy enough. Thanks for all the info.

Yup...that badge was fudged. The Shelby is the closest match I could find.

It was 6 degrees the day I bought it so I didn’t inspect for long . lol
