I'm clueless as to what direction this build will go. I have this old late 40's Monark 26"
frame laying around so I might as well do something with it.

I couldn't decide which direction to go on my build either, then I remembered something I read ( I think on this forum, not sure) "Let the bike tell you what it wants to be." So that's what I'm doing. 
Broke out the palm sander with some 80 grit & sanded it down & left some of the paint & rust on it & then cleared with gloss clear.
That looks great!
So this project is starting to take some direction. I'm trying to use as much stuff laying around as possible. Cut up this old front fender from a Monark, sanded & drilling some 1/2" holes in it.
Raw frame looks great, and that fat Monark fender....nice!

Thanks, no that bike wasn't a build off. I just finished it though. Early 50's Monark I built out of a lot of random Monark parts I had.
This bike is headed in a certain direction now so I changed the name from Clueless to Mud Rat
Trying to use up any parts around the garage before buying anything. Nice wide heavy duty 26" coaster brake wheel set I'll use.
