Here are some pics of Lucy, my Monark/Firestone Special Cruiser. The chain guard has a clear plastic Monark crown insert, but the head badge might say Firestone Special Cruiser. The seat post decal clearly has a Monark crown on it. The wood grips are my own creation.
 
Yes, Monark made bikes for Firestone from the mid 40s to the mid 50s. Most Monarks in general have an aluminum ID plate riveted to the bottom bracket. The serial will ID the year up to 1954, I believe 55-57 didn't have one. But that chainguard is 53 or later. -Adam
 
Thanks Adam. My bike doesn't have a plate on the bottom of the CC, just some stamped numbers which are very hard to read. I'm going to take a closer look and see what I can make out. Thanks again for the help
