What I like, and is not mentioned if you don't read between the lines, is that up till WW2, more than half the bikes in the US were made here in my home state of Ohio.

I am originally from Ohio and I noticed that too. Pretty cool.
 
Didn't the Wright Brothers build bikes in their Dayton, OH shop? Perhaps they were just another of the "hundreds of companies in the United States producing bicycles" before 1900. I think they kinda changed interests after 1900. :21:

Everything used to be built in Ohio.

Bikes, planes, airships, spaceships.

Then it was like every industry went "wait... why tf are we doing this in Ohio?? Let's move somewhere warm"
