Brand new to attempting a bike build/clean up. Im pretty happy with her.

1971 Schwinn Racer. Hung up in my parents shed when I was 13 and couldnt figure out what I did to the Sturmey Archer shift chain.

Started here.

New tires/tubes, grips, saddle, brake cable, shifter cable with grommet.

I'm about to build a Schwinn Collegiate in this basic stye... well, I have a few bikes queued up in front of it, but that IS the plan.... thinking drum brakes front and rear, 3 speed, fattest 700c tires I can fit, shallow drop bars, original cranks, no fenders, etc....

Shwalbe tires, Brooks B17 saddle, Strmey archer front and back drum breaks and 3 speed XRD-3, crankset. Bottombracket Sunrace. Some kalloy stem and handlebar Humpert with Brooks tape. Break levers Tektro Endbar. Hope you like this.

Thank you. Thrue, at start, riding this bike was a bit different than new ones this dys, but after a few Km, wow... and people 40, 50 years ago rode and race bikes like this.

Unfortunately I sold her.
Bought a pashley speed five this spring after looking at pictured of it on this page for ages. In my shop we sell these so I couldn't resist. Unfortunately the sizing was not perfect for me so I had to sell it after 4 months. But it was an amazing bike.
