Re: LDT SPECIAL ~~ Kenda Flame FITS! ~~ 5-9 ~~

I'm not a fan of those tires either, but on that wide rim, I like it. Looks great.

I've used the flame tires before & although they are not my favorite look, they do ride pretty nice. Back tire combo looks awesome Skip! This is one to watch boys & girls! 8)

I wanted to try this, Cut the dropouts off the Elgin girl bike.
Use the rear facing dropouts to get a little more room for the tire, And get the back wheel as far back as possible so I don't tip over

Does give me a little more room, Won't be hard to bolt them on, I'm not sure if I will use them yet.

Also cut the seat post off. Not going to need it.

I have to run some kind of rear fender, That's where I will be sitting.

Still lots to figure out with the fender,

I have had plans for a different fork from the beginning, this one won't even fit the tire.

Thanks for looking lots more to come!

Thats looking good! Think the extended drop out is a great idea.
You must have had confidence that fender/seat would work when you lopped off the seat post
No other way of seeing the curves though
How does the disc line up for the caliper mount?

Looking real good Skip! I knew you would bring it! Stay on page one it's a whole lotta Kwazy wratters on here!! Peace

MplsCoaster,
Thanks!
I Have the fender seat all figured out...... In my head,

not sure about disk brake alignment, but it looks like it should work.

I think I like this fender better.

Thanks everyone for all the positive comments!

I need to make a trip to Home Depot and get some flat and round stock steel.
And get my fender/seat built.
Cant wait to see what you do on the seat!
Your build last year really got me thinking about full fender ideas! Great idea! Thanks for the inspiration...

Wow!
Coming from a master Fabricator/Artist such as yourself. I will take that as a huge compliment!

Thanks!

There is a scrap yard near me that also sells steel (new stock). The cost is about 1/4 of what it costs at the Home Depot and Lowe's and the like. Those places really have jacked up prices on material. Of course that won't do you any good if there is no where around you like that.

Anyway, I'm liking your most recent rear fender the best.

Thanks for tip I was thinking Home Depot might be way to pricey.
I have been looking at this web site...
http://www.metalsdepot.com/products/hrs ... cc&aident=

Friday is pay day so i will stop at HD on the way to work and see what they have.
If the price is completely out of line I will order from Metalsdepot.

Thanks for looking and all the positive vibes.
