Nice start :!: I have 2 of these bikes and another without the tube in the middle.All branded Montgomery Wards.Been thinking of doing one for the build-off.I will be watching this build with keen interest.BTW,what does LDT mean?

The rim is a 26" Surly Large Marge 65mm inside width

About 3" wide over all.

It does clear the chain-stays just clears :shock: the pic makes it look tighter then it is.

I sure hope not, I love his fenders, but a big fat tire needs to be seen, maybe a bobbed fender!

I agree with Yoothgeye, FAT rear will get a bobbed fender. As for the front?......... :roll: :roll: :wink: :lol: :lol:

MplsCoaster, Here is some Mohawk info I never knew anything about them either

Most of the Mohawks I see are industrial bikes, like the worksman. We have a lot of them rolling around our plant. Newer than your's, both two and three wheeled varieties. They seem to be pretty solid bikes.

that wheel stuffed in that frame looks positively sick,skip! 8) looks like you have enough meat on the rear dropouts,if you need to move the tire farther back too. good luck to ya.
