Kinda odd front fork on an old Hiawatha.

Surprised this Murray built coaster brake bike has a fork drilled for a front brake.

I have an old Murray fork that was drilled like that, but it was because the fender had two tabs that went up in the front and rear and a bolt going through the tabs.

Maybe some were predrilled even if they didn’t get that kind of fender?

Super cool bike, BTW!

Thanks guys!
I inherited another Murray (titan x-63). It's about same vintage, but a bit more deluxe so I thought maybe flip it but saw the chrome cap on the fork crown and thought I might put that on the titan fork. Then I saw the hole in the fork crown. Maybe add an old Stermy 3 speed?
