Just got my new wheels~~

I must admit i am slow and deliberate when it comes to building bikes and I accumulate more parts than I need to, but I finally got these wheels built. It took a long, long time to get these rims. They are NOS 26" Schwinn Painted S-2 wheels. They are laced with Black spokes with black nipples. Authentic Schwinn script front hub, Nexus Inter-7 Rear hub in Anodized black. These black hubs were only available on the Bianchi Milano X-Country bike. 3+ years waiting to find one on ebay! The tires were my first find. They are NOS Western Flyer 26 x 2.125. Check out the great sidewall patter. Can you say Ratt?

OK, now those are really cool. The tires look like they're wider than the 2.125's you can get nowadays? I'm also guessing the S-2's are wider than a 1.175" rim? (S-2's are from a ballooner, right?) Way too nice to be labeled as ratty.

Soooooo, what do you have in mind for the rest of the bike?

Wow...love the spoke/rim combo with the black and white!

Also very cool to have those vintage tires on a 26" rim. I'm so used to seeing tires like that on 20" Sting-Ray bikes.
