I was able to finish the build and pack the bike in the car. I headed to one of my favorite parks that has a covered walk over the highway. Hopefully we get some more sunshine over the next two days to grab shots at other places I have found. The ride was nice and the bike shifted smoothly. I need to grab some new brake pads, as the old ones are hardened rubber and take a moment to grab. The Speedo needs some bugs worked out. I’m very happy the way this bike turned out. I can’t stop staring at it. And I love the clicking sound of the Shimano 3 speed hub. More photos to come. This is just day one photo shoot.

Bike turned out great! And yes, I'll take you up on that 3 speed drag race!

While you're out taking photos of your cool bike, prop your phone up on one of those tables and film a short ride video for us. Always fun to see the bikes in action.

As far as the brake pads go, you could try popping them off and using some sandpaper to get the hardened rubber surface off and they should grip a lot better. It's hard to get good braking on chromed rims.

Thanks a bunch! Good idea on the brake pads. I’ll give it a try. 3 speed drags would be a blast.

Day two photo shoot! I had a blast today. Took photos at my old Soap Box Derby hill. Then over to a restored Vickers Gas Station where I got a quick ride video. I need to see how to upload that. And a stop by an old south parts store to visit the Muffler Man! Then off to a favorite park. If tomorrow’s weather holds out, i have two more spots to hit up.
