any ideas what i have here or where i should look for some i.d. #'s? i haven't seen any serial #'s but they may be painted over.

I believe that is Monark built. Are there rivit holes on the bottom side of the crank hanger? Monark used a metal tag rivited to the bottom for the id info.

monark? ok thanks!. good start. anybody got any ideas as far as a year? and about the forks... i'll post a pic of the other side. it's got a hilarious weld on it that i think everyone will get a kick out of. and i'll look for rivet holes.

I beleive that would have a rebound spring on top

If the ID tag is missing from the BB, you're out of luck on a year, besides being a postwar ballooner frame, 1946-54. -Adam
