Let's see pics of bare metal bikes you've built. Here's 4 that I've done.
Love those bikes 8)
Here is mine 8)
Here are my bare metal bikes, that I built several years ago, out of aluminum honeycomb composite, there is no tube frame in these bikes. They have never been painted, although they have had stuff glued to them, but acetone and a jitterbug (orbital sander) cleans them up.
This one belongs to one of the Coaster members
I added this to the Gallery index
Here is one I did along time ago. It has since be given to my brother. Bare Columbia repro frame and Kona P2 fork.
Well the frame is bare metal! Done with a propane torch and steel wool, I had the blisters to prove it.
Wow - very cool, every one.
I especially like the very first one. 8)
built nearly 3 yrs ago, this is still my all-time favorite build....Sneaky Pete!
Thanks Rusty for starting this thread
All the bikes look so cool!!!
Here is my 64 Typhoon
I'll post Mag Ray in a couple of weeks and I've got at least 2 more in the que.
My 41 Hawthorne. Not really bare metal, but clear powder with red accents.
This is currently bare metal although it will be torn down soon to powder and sell.
What kind of bike is the 3rd pic? That is one of the most insane 'tankers' I have ever seen!
1953 CWC frame with a WF beehive springer.
wildcat, that is a wicked combination! 8) not a speck of old paint anywhere. very clean!
Thanks, and I made a mistake, that's a JC Higgins beehive.
Love the clean look - nothing like showing excellent workmanship of a bike .
I had a bunch of fun building this. I'm waiting for a new project now.
