With the bearings cleaning up, it is time to get some last photo shots before the bike is cleaned out and made rideable again.

The pictures of fork, chain guard back side and fenders all make the spot under the name badge. Yes the bicycle was black when made.
 
Star nut should work on the hole. I've also seen people use a tapered rubber stopper plug

Another issue the fork. There appears no way to mount a fender from below. It may have to saved for another project.

Take the fork to your local auto parts store and fit a rubber freeze plug. Works great.
