Hellow, everybody! Sorry for my English, ]'m rarely use it.
I'm from Ukraine, Kiev-city, representing my scratch build cruiser.
This bike is in style of legendary sports car "Pontiac Trans AM' 1978".

Re: Firebird TransAM' cruiser

Wow! That's what I call "building in the fast lane". Very cool lines too.
The only thing that gives me doubts, is the old front light. Being rather square, I'm not sure if it fits in with curved lines of your bike.
But hey, maybe it just turnes out great.
Any thoughts about the handlebar? Factory made or are you going to bend it yourself?
Cool rear-dropouts by the way. 8)
Keep up the good work.

Re: Firebird TransAM' cruiser

Sweet! Wife drove a 77 Trans Am when first strated dating.

I like that you foind a rectangular light that mimics the Trans Am. It will be great!

Re: Firebird TransAM' cruiser

Handlebars - I'm gonna bend it and weld a bit :)
Oh! The bottom bracket is from an ald BMX bicycle, 44 chainwheel, some new parts and ballberrings.
Total weight is 25 kg.

I love 1978 TransAM', so I decided to build a bicycle

Re: Firebird TransAM' cruiser

Oh! Hello! Sorry for my absence, I've been working for a few days and testing my cruiser ^_^
It's almost done, only waiting my new fenders and some odds and ends.

Hadlebar is good! Very comfotable. So far - 40 miles of mielage for a few days.
Internal gear hub is new - thinking a bit before changing a gear.
Each wheel has its own brake.

In complex, bike is very friendly in handling, even I can get off my hands from steer - straight ride.
Weight is 27 kg, quite good. I love big bicycles.
Total lengh - 235 cm
Wheel base - 165 cm

Re: Firebird TransAM' cruiser

Wow! That's become one great looking bike,Outlaw3. I really like the overall looks. Just perfect, but to my opinion, you should do something about its colour.
I don't know if that is part of your plan, but this awesome bike screams for a nifty colourscheme. Then it would become twice as goodlooking, I suppose.
Cool bikes need cool paint. 8)

Re: Firebird TransAM' cruiser

Wowser. That shaker hood scoop was unique to Trans Am. Will your skills, you could probably fab something resembling a shaker scoop on the front fender.
